“I’m bringin’ sexy back, them other boys don’t know how to act…” Now one of the most well-known pop stars of the 21st century, Justin Timberlake has experienced a lifetime of success in only 35 years. Born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 31, 1981, Timberlake was an energetic child whose talent was instantly recognizable after he made his public debut on Star Search as Justin Randall. Shortly after, he went on to star in The Mickey Mouse Club alongside Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling and JC Chasez, an opportunity and friendship that would forever change his life.

Teaming up with Chasez to form the boy band NSYNC in 1995 alongside Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass, Timberlake and the band became the third best-selling boy band in music history known for hits like “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” It’s Gonna Be Me” and “Bye Bye Bye.” Ready to launch his solo career by the new millennium, the band’s success gave him a head start in the industry as he released his debut album Justified in 2002 featuring singles like “Cry Me a River” and “Rock Your Body.”

Now recognized as one of the highest earning celebrities in Hollywood thanks to hits like “Sexy Back,” “What Goes Around…Comes Around” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” as well as appearances in films like The Social Network and Bad Teacher, Timberlake has even taken his talent to Saturday Night Live where he’s earned four Emmy Awards for his legendary performances. Adding nine Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards and 10 Billboard Music Awards to the list and Timberlake is living large with $175 million in the bank and a high profile marriage to the stunning and talented Jessica Biel.

Long before launching his solo career and tying the knot with Biel, Timberlake made a huge purchase in 1999 when he bought a 5,357 square foot lakefront estate in Orlando, Florida for $1.3 million. Built in 1994 and offering a variety of amenities including a boat dock and putting green as well as an outdoor kitchen and fireplace with a heated pool and spa, the young star lived in the home briefly before purchasing a gorgeous mansion from actress Helen Hunt in Hollywood Hills, California for $8.3 million in 2002. Eventually deciding to sell his Florida estate for $2 million in 2006, Timberlake relocated to Los Angeles.

Built in 2001 and nestled on 2.96 acres at 3100 Torreyson Place, Timberlake’s primary California residence stretches across an impressive 12,545 square feet with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Drawn to the affluent neighborhood and its convenience to the city, the “My Love” crooner was initially thrilled that the home offered a hot tub, swimming pool, recording studio, fitness center and basketball court but, after meeting Biel in 2007 and marrying in 2012, has since discovered it’s perfect for starting a family and hosting parties. As a matter of fact, after welcoming their son Silas Randall to the world in April 2015, the couple hosted a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in their spectacular mansion giving A-list celebrities like Katie Holmes, Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx, award-winning producer Shonda Rhimes and other Clinton supporters a rare glimpse into their home for just $33,400 per ticket.

But, as you might imagine, the Hollywood Hills mansion isn’t Timberlake’s only home. The former NSYNC star also owns a home in New York City after recently purchasing a 2,598 square foot estate in the SoHo area for $7.6 million. Boasting an open floorplan with three bedrooms, high ceilings, arched windows, a state-of-the-art kitchen and a wraparound terrace, Timberlake’s new house in the Big Apple is an upgrade from his former three-bedroom abode in Tribeca listed at $5.25 million.

Earlier this year, the 35-year-old pop star and his 34-year-old wife made headlines once again when they confirmed their impending move to Missoula, Montana. Having already hinted at raising their son in the mountains and away from the spotlight during an interview with Vanity Fair in 2015, it looks as though Timberlake is doing more than simply changing zip codes.

“I’m just tired of the L.A. lifestyle and the fake people, honestly, and I feel like, at this point in my life, I’d rather just live in a place full of real, genuine people,” he told US Weekly in March 2016. “I’ve been to Missoula a few times over the years and the people there are real…they’re genuine, and yeah every community has problems but the people there are good, decent people and they care about their community. Those are the things I find most important in deciding where to live. Plus, it’s such a gorgeous place to live!”

Admitting that he’s only looking for a change of pace and is not planning to retire anytime soon, Timberlake’s change of heart is definitely a result of his wife’s influence and her love of the mountains after attending high school in Boulder, Colorado. As to whether or not they’ve found their Rocky Mountain dream house, there’s yet to be an official report that they’ve finally settled in and purchased a home in their favorite mountain town of Big Sky. We’ll keep you posted!
