Steal This Blog!

I’m not the first blogger to do this, and I won’t be the last, but all the blog content on Ridiculously Extraordinary (RE) written by me (Karol Gajda) is free from copyright to other bloggers.

You’re free to steal my blog posts and post them on your own blog.

You’re free to steal my blog posts, rewrite them, and post them on your own blog.

You’re free to steal my blog posts, translate them to a new language, and post them to your own blog.

You’re free to steal my blog posts, compile them in an eBook, and post it on your own blog.

What I’m saying is, you can do what you want.

Attribution

While I’m happy that you want to steal my content I would greatly appreciate a blurb about this site with a link back to the original content.

It’s not a requirement.  If you don’t want to give me credit, no worries.

No need to e-mail me to ask if you can steal this blog.  Just do it.

You can e-mail me to let me know you’re stealing it if you want, but it’s not necessary.

Why?

The truth is I know some people will steal the content even if I say it’s not OK.

That said, I know the people who want to reinterpret or use my content otherwise will be happy to give me credit for it.  I want to make it easy for those kind individuals to do so.  No need to check in with me.  Just do what you want and let me know about it if you’re so inclined.

Hi Sigi!

Thank you for posting your motto! Mine is similar: “Never be bored!” :)

Wow….I am impressed. No ads either. Are you going to look for other ways to make money from this blog? I am just kinda shocked by such rare blogging.

Please do share.

Hey Dave,

Thanks. :) This blog is my “passion project,” but that’s not to say I’ll never monetize it. It just won’t be with ads. And I don’t have any immediate plans for anything else.

Got some travel advice for Australia, Sunshine Coast – not sure if you will be in this area. It’s 90 mins north of Brisbane. If you are give us a shout and I will be happy to advise. Cool blog, keep up the great writing!

Hi Annabel, thank you for your comments. And thanks for offering advice on the Sunshine Coast. Not sure if I’ll make it there yet, but maybe. :)

Hi Jo,

Thanks for asking. As it states, if you’re a blogger you can do what you want. If you’re just with some marketing company that’s another story. :)

Hi Karol –
Just found your blog through a friend. Love it, and I do plan to steal some stuff from your steal this page for my blog = ) And I have a question – your blog has a great look, what theme are you using? And where can I find the subscribe icons you use?? New to blogging, but eager to learn, and your blog is a stand out! Best. Leisa

Hi Leisa,

Thank you so much!

I’m using Thesis theme, customized by yours truly. :)

But it was Shannon Albert who helped me out: http://shannonalbert.me/2009/06/26/how-to-have-a-professional-blog-without-hiring-anyone/

The subscribe icons are from SmashingMag.com I believe. Although I created the About icon myself.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks!
Karol

Excellent. Yes very helpful. I am having so much fun setting up my blog – http://fifteenfavefoods.wordpress.com – but of course I want it to be perfect right now, so it is a little overwhelming…. Very inspired by yours. Looking forward to more from you, and I *will* be stealing something, sometime, I’m sure = )

Hey Leisa,

Perfect is not attainable. But as long as it doesn’t hold you back striving for perfection is great. :)
